With over 200 visitors from 23 different countries, we were able to learn about, network and discuss the harvest forecasts for the 2025\/26 season at this year's Prognosfruit in Angers (FR). Here are our 5 exciting harvest facts from the apple industry's largest annual conference:<\/h5>\n

1. Weltweiter Marktf\u00fchrer:<\/strong>
\n In China, the 2025 harvest is expected to be 38 million tonnes, an 8% decline compared to the previous year. Uncertainties due to US tariffs <\/p>\n

2. Witterungsbedingt:<\/strong> Due to massive frost damage, Turkey expects a significant decline in harvest of -38.7%. Moldova (-26.7%) and Ukraine (-7.6%) are also affected . <\/p>\n

3. Die EU leicht r\u00fcckl\u00e4ufige Mengen:<\/strong> both volumes and prices are expected to remain at the previous year's level (-0.1%), but volumes are down sharply by 7.5% compared to three years ago. <\/p>\n

4. Industrie\u00e4pfel:<\/strong> ower volumes expected, processing apples account for one third of the total apple harvest, decline of 8%. <\/p>\n

5. Apfelchips liegen im Trend:<\/strong> consumers appreciate healthy convenience products. <\/p>\n
