Company History

Founded as a successor to the biosanica Naturprodukte GmbH, established in 2002.

Relocation from Bavaria to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Establishment at the Pommerndreieck site as biosanica Manufaktur GmbH with the main shareholder and investor, Mr. Dipl.-Kfm. Norbert Braun. In two phases of expansion, relevant capacities were created for drying fruits and vegetables, particularly organic apples.

Entry of the managing shareholder, Mr. Jörg Moser, through the participation of STMV Holding GmbH (formerly infood GmbH).

Change in ownership structure. After many years of successful collaboration, another step in the company's development was taken. With a clear focus on operational efficiency and sustainable growth, the areas of production as well as sales and marketing were organized in a more targeted and competent manner. This laid a strong and sustainable foundation for the future.

With the newly founded sauerkraut connect Strategieentwicklungs GmbH in Austria, Jörg Moser stepped down from the management of biosanica GmbH and, together with his team in Austria, is now responsible for international sales and customer support for biosanica GmbH.

With Olaf Rohlfs as the sole managing director of biosanica GmbH, the company continues to strengthen its expertise in procurement, production, quality management, and logistics.

It all begins with the apple, a fruit naturally rich in vitamins and flavor. But we go a step further: Our apples mostly come from certified organic farming. With the utmost care, we ensure that every product leaving our facility meets the highest quality standards – from the tree in the orchard to the finished apple chips in your hand.
Sustainability is not just a buzzword for us—it’s a commitment. We work closely with our partner farms, including producers from the "Altes Land" region and associations such as Bioland, BioSuisse, Demeter, and Naturland, to minimize our ecological footprint. Through resource-efficient farming methods and transparent supply chains, we strive to ensure that future generations can continue to benefit from nature.
Our philosophy is: less is more. That's why we avoid unnecessary additives and focus on what matters – the pure taste and natural ingredients of the apple. The result is products that not only taste great but also do good.

Our Company & Production Location

At our production site in northern Germany, near the Baltic Sea, we combine modern technology with a highly motivated team that ensures the highest quality standards with expertise and commitment. By using innovative machines and processes, we guarantee precise and efficient processing of raw materials.
Our facility is IFS-certified, ensuring compliance with international standards in food production. This certification confirms that all processes are continuously monitored and optimized to guarantee maximum product quality and safety.
The dedicated staff is another key factor in our success. Each employee contributes with their expertise and commitment to ensuring that we not only offer top-quality products but also take responsibility for the environment and resources.
